After meeting Dr. Maria Kefalas, the co-founder of the Calliope Joy Foundation, while attending Saint Joseph’s University, we connected for the creation of two video projects in 2018 and 2019.

The Calliope Joy Foundation is a non-profit based out of Bala Cynwyd, PA that aims to support children with leukodystrophy, a rare, genetic disorder that affects the white matter of the brain, and their families. Dr. Kefalas’ daughter, Cal, is who the foundation is named after. Their main fundraising events are cupcake challenges engaging young bakers in a bake-off competition. I worked with the Kefalas-Carr family to film and edit recap videos of their events. Below is the video from 2018:
